    Indispensable for Force Protection
State-of-the-Art Shooter Detection

The Boomerang award-winning shooter-detection system detects incoming small-arms fire, indicating the azimuth, range, and elevation of the shooter. Boomerang does not trigger from fire outgoing from its position.

Best Performance and Best Value

Developed to rigorous DoD requirements, compliant with applicable MILSPECS, Boomerang is the best performing, lowest cost, shooter-detection system on the market. Contact us by email to boomerang@bbn.com for details.

Immediate Detection and Notification

Boomerang announces the direction incoming fire in under a second while simultaneously providing the azimuth, range, and elevation visually through an LED display.

Extensive Engineering

Boomerang is not triggered by false alarms commonly caused by non-ballistic events such as road bumps, door slams, wind noise, tactical radio transmission, and from other extraneous noise events such as vehicle traffic, firecrackers, and urban activities.

Easy Installation and Operation

Boomerang can be installed in less that one hour. Minimal training and no calibration is required. Turn it on and the system is fully operational.

Boomerang is available to U.S. military, law-enforcement agencies, to municipalities, and to other approved U.S. domestic and foreign entities. Government contractors can incorporate Boomerang into their system or platform.
Boomerang earned DARPA's Significant Technical Achievement Award for 2005.
